TWO Wheels Only
T.W.O are the malaysian partners of condor cycles, london.
Fashion and trends come and go, but condor have always believed in
the value of timeless artisan craftmanship. Condor bikes are very limited in production and hence the exclusivity that comes with owning one.
For over sixty years Condor Cycles
of London has been building bicycles
specific to customer needs
Condor Cycles, building bespoke bicycle for the cycling connoiseseurs since 1948

Condor aims is to provide everything that bicycle ownership entails, from advice, bike fitting, components and clothing, to repairing a puncture on a Monday morning.

Their success over the last sixty years has been dependent on being aware of current and future technologies. Ongoing market research and close relationships with key component manufactures has enabled Condor to offer the latest products; tried, tested and assessed before appearing on the store’s shelves.

In 1948 the majority of race bikes were bespoke but in today’s market place, a bespoke bicycle is a rarity. At Condor, it is what we have done every day for sixty years. From competitive to fitness rider, commuter, new or returning cyclist, the right bike opens up a world on two wheels.

As more and more marques take their manufacturing to the Far East, we continue to produce our frames by hand in Italy. Frames are constructed from our own selection of tubing and manufactured to our own design requirements. We utilise the right materials to produce frames dedicated to each purpose.

The bikes take inspiration from our rich heritage. Condor bicycles have been ridden to World Championship gold medals, ridden in the Tour de France, and have been the choice of many figures in the public limelight, ranging from judges to rock stars. Few brands can claim to have their bikes ridden by cycling household names including Tom Simpson and Bradley Wiggins.

Our frames are built using Dedacciai tubesets in our Italian factory. Carbon, aluminium, titanium and steel frame bicycles are put through strict testing at point of manufacture, then by staff and professional team riders - the aim being to produce performance road bikes for athletes and consumers alike.

The signature frame in the road race range is the full carbon Condor Leggero. This model is used by the Rapha Condor Sharp race team and has helped riders to significant titles including Dean Downing’s 2008 National Criterium Championship win and Kristian House becoming 2009 National Road Race Champion.

The Condor Leggero is a full-blooded race bike built using a mix of Dedacciai carbon tubesets featuring nano resins, the result is responsive handling on a tight criterium course, as well as longevity and performance across the gruelling hills of a road race.

Elsewhere in the range, Condor utilises its expertise in steel frame construction. The Condor Fratello offers comfort without compromise and has become the best selling model within the steel frame range. The versatility of the Fratello sees it out and about during audax and sportives.

2013 will mark the sixth season that Rapha Condor has sponsored a British UCI registered team and the partnership with JLT will underline the team's significant commitment to the future of British cycling, as the team continues to focus on its overarching goal of developing young British talent.

The JLT Group's involvement marks the second time that the team has attracted a major international company to back the sport in the UK, after a successful three year partnership with Sharp saw the electronics manufacturer increase its sponsorship of professional cycling to World Tour level.

The Jardine Lloyd Thompson group of Insurance Brokers is one of the largest of its type in the world and their ethos of offering a distinctive choice to their clients and partners through their combination of independence and specialism is something that relates strongly to the identity of the Rapha Condor team and the brands that it represents.

Grant Young of Condor cycles was delighted to welcome a new sponsor to both the team and the sport of cycling, "We can't wait for the 2013 to start, this is the next chapter in an exciting adventure for British cycle sport and the team. I am pleased we can work with another sponsor who understands our approach, ethics, passion for developing the sport from the grass roots up to the sky."

Meetings between the team management and JLT first took place when Charlie Pearch, a senior partner at the company as well as a longtime supporter of the team, saw the opportunity for JLT to sponsor one of the country's most influential cycling teams.

‘‘Our participation in this venture with Rapha Condor fulfills our desire to help sport at grass roots level, particularly where our involvement can deliver meaningful value. We not only want to encourage the younger generation to live a healthy lifestyle but to be a voice of mutual respect between all road users. Our expectation is that the Rapha Condor JLT team will continue to perform well under the most respected of Directeur Sportifs but it is as important for us that the team races with style and panache and in its own well-loved and inimitable style to represent the very best of British cycling."

The team, who recently revealed an even younger line-up for 2013, will be focused once again on continuing the work that they started this year which saw impressive performances by the young team and was capped with Mike Cuming's becoming the U23 National Road Race Champion.

Team manager John Herety commented, "I am delighted that JLT share our enthusiasm about the way that this team aims to work with young riders. JLT understood this very quickly and they recognised that in the current environment in cycling a team like ours will educate young riders into making the correct choices."

"I have been really pleased with the progress that these riders have made in the last twelve months, and I think that next year we will start to see the results of the work that these young guys have put in as they put into practice what they've learned. We have redesigned our programme with the new young riders in mind, putting a focus on getting these guys racing and winning, and I am sure that it will be a great year."

Team Bike: Condor Leggero

the Condor Leggero & Condor Super Acciaio

Since 2009 team riders were closely involved in developing the Condor Leggero road racing bikes, not only for professional use but also for consumers. Both Dean Downing and National Road Champion Kristian House pushed prototypes to their limit in tough race conditions, including putting their faith in the new design for the Tour of Britain in 2010.

The Rapha Condor Sharp team has gone from strength to strength, achieving the position as Britain’s number 1 ranked team within four years, and Condor road racing bikes have been at the centre of this achievement.

The riders have helped evolve the chainstays, feedback about power transfer and ride quality and ensure the smooth integration of electronic groupsets to the frames.
